Netflix To Stream Direct On Sony Bravia HDTVs
Netflix has already already revolutionized the way we rent movies. On a recent trip to Nashville, I walked into a Blockbuster for the first time in years. It was full of VHS tapes DVDs with faded cover artwork, and I truly felt like I was in a museum. Remember the days when your video renting options were limited to what hadn’t already been chosen? “Aw, man! All that’s left is Beethoven’s 5th.” (Loved those movies.)

In addition to renting-by-mail, streaming movies on your computer, and renting via TiVo and Xbox 360, Netflix is giving subscribers an even more seamless way to view movies this fall. Owners of the new internet-enabled Sony Bravia HDTVs will be able to stream Netflix movies right on their telly with the click of the button.
Older Bravia models will work, too, using the Bravia Internet Link box.
How easy is that? Fast forward five years and we will be guffaw-ing over those silly red envelopes, as every TV will be Netflix-enabled.
