My Little Ponies, Gears of War Style

By Sarah, July 29, 2009 2:03 pm

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am not a gamer (though I did learn how to control the guy in Fallout 3 while at Comic-Con… mostly I just swam around water, admired his cute butt, and was killed by a robotic ant). That being said, I still think these Gears of War My Little Ponies are incredible.

If Gears of War isn’t your cup of tea, they also have Ironman and Zelda ponies (though the Zelda pony looks kind of wussy with its blonde hair, blue eyes and innocent expression, wouldn’t you say?)

CAYOOT!

Are these real? Please, someone send me one. See more at gearfuse.

When I was a little girl, My Little Ponies were my fave. Really, ask my mother. I had over 70 individual ponies and used to line them up in a parade leading out of my room and into my little brother’s room. He loved it, I promise.

Don’t Ever Delete A WoW-er’s Account… Or Else:

By Sarah, June 24, 2009 8:13 pm

I just had to post this because I know I have a lot of new readers who are avid World of Warcraft fans. Hopefully you all have a sense of humor, because this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

This teenage boy looses his ish after his Mom deletes his WoW account… what begins as a relatively normal temper tantrum quickly turns into some obviously demon-possessed acts. Big thanks to his loving brother who hid a camera in his room during the debacle.

Of course it’s probably fake. But holy crap. What would you do if your Mom (or wife) deleted your WoW account? Would you hit yourself in the head with a shoe? Pound on your chest a la Tarzan? Do something unspeakable with a remote control? Wow. Just wow!

P.S. I know the site looks a little iffy right now, but I promise it’ll be back up and running 100% very soon!

Nintendo To Release Black Wii In Japan

By Sarah, June 7, 2009 3:17 am

I’m a huge advocate of variety, especially when it comes to color and style, which is why I’m thrilled that Nintendo will be released a black version of the uber-popular Wii. Sadly it will only be in Japan at first (like everything cool gadget-wise) but if all goes well, it’ll be available in other parts of the world, too.

I like the white, but I like the black better. Mmm… shiny.

Xbox's Project Natal Makes A Splash At E3

By Sarah, June 4, 2009 12:20 am

So many questions about the Xbox Project Natal, which was announced at E3 yesterday. The interactive video game goes one-step beyond the Wii by allowing you to play video games without the use of ANY controller. Literally, all you have to do is move around.

natal

It looks awesome – if it is truly quirk-free – but I’ll have to see it to believe it. My first question is – what happens when the family dog runs in front of you, or when your annoying roommate tries to mess up your high score? Too bad? And what happens when you can’t get the damn thing to do what you want it to do? It just seems like it would be full of annoyances. But then again, I’m a control freak.

It’s more than just games, though. You can also choose and watch movies, shop, video chat with friends, and scan your skateboard, according to this demo video.

No word yet on when this will be released or how many bones it will cost, but speculation says by the end of the year we shall know. Maybe in time for Christmas?

P.S. Two Microsoft posts in a row. This doesn’t happen often.

As Promised, My Response To Ferarro

By Sarah, June 2, 2009 8:44 am

To any and all people who may care what I have to say about the Ferarro ID theft thingee – l shot a quick vid as promised. I am the lamest video-maker ever so pardon my n00bness. I think I cover all key points.

Side note: I’m apologize, but I’m probably not going to accept any of the Facebook friend requests you’ve sent, as you can imagine, I’m a little weary of really exposing too much of myself. Please feel free to follow my Twitter and read my blog though, I am sure you’ll get more than enough information about me here. I live a pretty public life.

XOXO

Sarah

P.S. My apologies to any of you who saw the first unedited version of this, which she so kindly posted on her blog (briefly) for you all to see, before I even put it up.

Computers, Inspired By Computers! (Inspired by Kittens)

By Sarah, February 18, 2009 8:41 am

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have no doubt seen the “Kittens Inspired By Kittens” video that has been making it’s way around the internet the past week. If not, please enlighten yourself. We’ll wait.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtX8nswnUKU&hl=en&fs=1]

A mock narration has been made (one of what is sure to be many) – about computers!

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUJVXGPHeaU&hl=en&fs=1]

Personally I can relate a little bit more to the kittens bit – I am pretty sure that was me at age 6. But one has to wonder if that little boy knows all that internet lingo on his own (a series of tubes?) or if his father figure or older bro is feeding him lines. Kids these days!

Registering to Vote for Dummies: Just Use Your Xbox 360

By Sarah, September 24, 2008 1:54 am

Attention 18 and 19 year olds: You no longer have an excuse not to vote. As if it weren’t as easy as logging onto voteforchange.com, Microsoft has now enabled you to register to vote without even leaving the comfort of your gaming console.

That’s right, you can now register to vote on your Xbox!

rock the vote

In collaboration with rockthevote.com, Microsoft is giving Xbox 360® owners the ability to register to vote, participate in presidential polls, and voice their opinions to the presidential candidates.

“The Xbox LIVE community is active, vocal, and passionate,” said Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox LIVE. “We’re thrilled to partner with Rock the Vote to make it easier than ever for youth voters‚Äîand our members‚Äîto register and be heard.”

So take a break from playing Rock Band or Half Life 2 and register to vote, dammit. I don’t even care who you vote for (as long as it’s not Sarah Palin :) ) – just take the time to educate yourself!

The future of our country is at stake!!!!

What Happens AFTER Mario Saves the Princess?

By Sarah, September 20, 2008 2:01 am

Years and years of our childhood were spent guiding Mario through kingdom after kingdom, dodging turtle shells, poisonous mushrooms, and of course – Bowser.

But what happens AFTER Mario finally reaches his princess and saves her? Do they live happily ever after? I mean, he IS a short, chubby plumber, after all. And she IS a princess. Highly unlikely.

Let’s take a look at what Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane thinks happened.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0GH4Ett03w&hl=en&fs=1]

From one princess to another, I don’t blame Peach. Thanks but no thanks, Mario!

But seriously – “You got captured by something that goes on a salad!” – hahaha.

Waterproof LCD TVs for Indoor or Outdoor Use

By Sarah, January 30, 2008 2:05 pm

The first thing that popped into my head while reading the words “Waterproof TV” was a wild fraternity house, and cans of beer being shaken and sprayed all over the walls. Why else would you need a waterproof TV?! I suppose there is the off chance of a leak, or a flood, a kitchen mishap, or some other unfortunate water damage, but the thought of beer flying all over is much more entertaining.

soak

The cleverly named Soak TV line features Waterproof LCDs for use indoors or outdoors, which means you can use it near your pool with no worries that it will be damaged. It comes with the option of hooking up a PC or DVD player, as well as stereo speakers.

The Soak TV line isn’t available for purchase yet, but hopefully will be by summertime. Pricing only available for one model, the Soak104, which is ¬£494.95
